Cam timing for fiat siena 1.2 2001

There are no timing marks on this engine - the engine has to be "locked" using special engine locking / setting kit which you wil have to obtain to do the job.

I will give you the instructions to do the job for when you have the locking kit to do the job.. as follows:

Removal
  1. Raise and support front of vehicle.
  2. Remove:
      • RH front wheel.
      • RH inner wing panel.
      • Air filter assembly.
  3. Support engine.
  4. Remove:
      • RH engine mounting and bracket.
      • Timing belt upper cover,
      • AC receiver/drier (if fitted). DO NOT disconnect hoses.
      • Timing belt lower cover.
      • Auxiliary drive belt.
      • Support bracket between gearbox and cylinder block (Palio).
  5. Palio: Remove bell housing cover plate. Fit flywheel locking tool. Tool No.1.867.029.000. or equivalent commercially available.
  6. Remove:
      • Crankshaft pulley bolts
      • Crankshaft pulley
      • Spark plug leads.
      • Ignition coil and bracket.
      • Spark plugs.
  7. Fit dial gauge and adapter to No.1 cylinder. Tool No.1.860.895.000.
  8. Turn crankshaft to TDC on No.1 cylinder. Set dial gauge to zero.
  9. Ensure notch in rear of camshaft aligned as shown.
  10. Install camshaft aligning tool. Tool No.1.870.823.000

  11. NOTE: If camshaft aligning tool cannot be fitted: Turn crankshaft one turn clockwise.

Installation
  1. Ensure No.1 cylinder at TDC by turning crankshaft slightly clockwise and anti-clockwise. Use dial gauge .
  2. Ensure camshaft aligning tool fitted correctly
  3. Hold camshaft sprocket. Use tool No.1.860.831.000/001
  4. Slacken camshaft sprocket bolt
  5. Fit timing belt in following order:

NOTE: Observe direction of rotation marks on belt.
  6. Fit tensioning tool locating pegs to tensioner pulley holes -Tool No.1.860.745.100/300. Ensure tensioning tool arm is horizontal.
  7. Set weight at 70 mm mark on scale bar.
  8. Hold camshaft sprocket

2000 buick lesabre leveling compressor won't turn on I took off n hooked to battery and works that way I checked all relays and fuses and there good

This is the way you start diagnosing this system !
Automatic Level Control Diagnostic System Check
Install a scan tool. Does the scan tool power up?
Go to Step 2
Go to Scan Tool Does Not Power Up in Data Link Communications

2
  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Attempt to establish communication with the Rear Integrated Module (RIM).
Does the scan tool communicate with the RIM?
Go to Step 3
Go to Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Class 2 Device in Data Link Communications
Select the automatic level control display DTC function on the scan tool.
Does the scan tool display any DTCs?
Go to Step 4
Go to Symptoms

4
Does the scan tool display any DTCs which begin with a "U"?
Go to Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Class 2 Device in Data Link Connector Diagnosis
Go to Step 5

5

Does the scan tool display DTC B1007 or B1009?
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type in Body Control System
Go to Step 6

6

Does the scan tool display DTC B1327?
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type in Engine Electrical
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type
This is one you should take to a ASE certified repair facility , there are electronic modules involved you have no idea about !

Honda element check engine on but no code

what does no code mean? (no code see where and on WHAT)
no year car posts are no good. 03- 11 are choices.
USA or Canada????

any modern OBD2 tool works
if car is newer than say 2004, use modern scan tool
if car is newer that 2007 , even newer tools are need.
if car is newer and the FREE autozone tool is blind then its junk.
may store run the wrong old tools that are near useless on newer cars.

here is a good tool.
if serios DIY.
get a serious tool (newer cars)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001QIUGVI/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

if car is old say so, as most , can use $9 tool or $20
no year, no joy, just general answers.

what year, element
which engine
2.4 L I4: K24A4 2003-2006, K24A8 2007+
and what country,
use a modern scan tool post 2004 tool for sure.
go to real shop with real tools. not old scan tools.

if the CEL glows. scan it.
all cars, 1988 to now (usa)
all cars ,1996 era old tools work. great. (N/A here)
all cars 2004 and for sure 2008 needs a modern CAN-bus scan tool. Some cars went to CAN-BUS early, YMMV.
sometimes the old wrong scan tool will see old P0 federal
scan codes, but will miss all the important new scan DTCs.
OBD2 evolved fast, you must track this or fail.

Quick disconnect tool is not helpful on disconnecting fuel line from fuel filter on 92 F 150 w/4.9L

there are a few different tools and some work well and others just plain ****. Patience is the key sometimes with poor quality tools. If yo have the multi quick dis connect tool that is like the swiss army knife of quick disconnect tools, thats the worst one.
My neighbor had trouble with a quick disconnect fitting and came to get me. when I got in his garage he said "here's the tool." I threw it in the trash and came back to get my set of quick disconnects. It tool me longer to open the case, get the tool out and put it back than the time it took to undo the connection.

How do you operate a quick connect tool?

not sure which tool/s you are intendung ?? however if you observe the tool it has a sleeve around its circumfrence this sleve has to be pulled/pushed back and held then the attachment/tool you wish to use ? can be inserted fully home then the sleeve released to ensure attached tool is locked ? try to pull it out if correctly locked it will not pull out so is safe to use to release tool attachment pull/or push back sleeve then pull out tool attachment the tool attachments must have hexagonal locking bits that fit into the tools jaws unless the tool is air line pressure quick fits then these have locking rings around the circumference the actual locking device is a series of ball bearings that are sprung closed untill sleeve is pulled /pushed back then the balls are slid up a tapered cone and outwards to enable tool attachment to pass balls then when sleeve released the balls move under sping back to lock position hope this is what you are looking for ? best wishes from uk
