Check the level in the ******. Make sure that oil is there and topped up if necessary. It should be on the upper marks. Good luck.

Unfortunately I believe it is beyond a simple Fluid and Filter change. Once the Fluid is Burned and you get fault codes your going to have to have the transmission rebuilt.

Transmission is sticking in second and third gear, im pretty sure this isnt a slip, and im pretty sure that it doesnt need to be rebuilt, but i wanted another opinion

i bet your wrong too, if its not a blocked filter in the box i would say the seals are leaky and thats why it wont shift up or down gear,,there is a seal swell type of auto box oil you can get you just tip it into the gear box filler pipe and let it do its job if its going to work it will in a fuw miles of running

2000 Hyundai elantra transmission delay, reverse going

Did you check the transmission fluid level? If necessary, add fluid. However you probably have a more serious problem. Take the car to a qualified transmission mechanic.

I have a hyundai lantra 5 speed man it is grinding the gears when going into second gear

try bleeding the clutch, also check that the box is not leaking oil if it is low on oil it will be hard to shift gears, if this dose not work you may need to get the clutch replaced

Engine spudders when changing gears

The mechanic should check on the gears form N, R, P, 1st gear, second, third gear of the transmission . you also have to check the oil seals of the gears of the transmission.Don't forget to check also the shift level and the shift fork of the transmission.check the said gears ,the shift fork ,the shift level and the oil seals if they are worn out or destroyed you should replace them. Most of the time if the engine spudders when changing in gears it means that there is a problem in the oil seals of the transmission gears . Don't forget to check also the transmission bearing to be sure. Because it is spuddering .
