Question about 1999 Saab 9-5
On my 1998 4dr manual saab 95, the engine turns but does not start. cannot determin the roblem
The most common problem is the Direct ignition cassette, followed by the crankshaft position sensor. I am assuming that it cranks, but won't start.

ignition coil smelling bad?probebly is that ,don´t get spark. Can be the fuel pump/fuse,check if the fuel pump get power and/or if is working.
If the cranckshaft position sensor is defected the engine don´t start-values=pin1 and pin2/temp.20ºc/860+-90ohm(resistance)

Try installing a new ignition coil wire that may resolve the starting problem
