According to the schematic, the front cigarette lighter is also connected along with the panel lamps in front of the driver. Do you have a stock radio or an aftermarket one? Odds are you have a bare wire that is causing the short. This circuit also runs each of the speakers.

Hi, 1997 Olds Regency 20amp fuel fuse blew while driving. I replaced the fuse and it drove fine for a week and now every time I put a new fuse in it blows when the key is turned on. Could this be the relay...

A short or overload. Get a wiring diagram. Find the circuit. Disconnect items on that circuit one at a time. If all are disconnected and the fuse still blows, you've got a wiring harness issue.

When trying to start, the 20amp fuse keeps blowing

I need year--make--model
to look up the fuse wiring? Your owners manual may tell you what all circuits that fuse controls? I can't tell if faulty component, somewhere, or wiring circuit shorted to ground? If dedicated wiring circuit, makes things a little easier.

No sound on radio but it shows channels. 20amp fuse blown and new on blows when inserted

I assume you already replaced the 100amp fuse. I would say thanks a lot to the person who helped you jump your car and, don't let them touch it again. If the 20amp keeps blowing, you have a short to ground on that circuit, possibly the radio itself. Good luck.

Why does the 20amp fuse for the fuel pump keep popping?

rodeo or rodeo SPORT?
2.2 or 3.2 engine> not even a cylinder count....
i wish all problems were this simple. (easy with ammeter)
the load is SHORTEd, the fuse saved the fire.
x2 all above answers
but keep in mind some fuses run more that one thing, ill check.

20amp fuse (no label) no engine option stated, must be the 6ve1, v6 twin cam.
fuel systems vary by (engine type)
not the 3.5L vin Y engines. 2.2 or 3.2L>?
fuse EB12, Engine bay fuse blows, 20a, fuel pump.

so pull these conn.
H-15 first
then if ok, (no blow)
H-25: if not blow now the pump is shorted
or the wire from H25 to F1 is ground to the frame.
wire inspections are first. on that path.
i use a EB12 , circuit breaker and mag ammeter to find this fast.

20amp eng1fuse

Fuses will burn if the load is too high or there is a short to ground on the circuit.

You will need to use a meter, to find the issue... If you do not have the tools or rhe knowledge, take to an auto electrician... DO NOT over fuse.

Fuel pump fuse keeps blowing on my 95 Crown Vic

Using a smaller fuse should make the problem happen more often.
A mechanic would unplug the pump harness at the tank and check the circuit for high resistance or a short to ground.
If nothing is found in the harness, I would suspect the pump in the tank.
