Sounds like the lower ball joint is making noise.

My 94 mercury grand marquis makes a very loud squeaking noise when i turn the steering wheel or hit a bump, it sounds like its coming from the passenger front.

There are several possibilities that could be causing your problem.
  • Low on power steering fluid
  • Bad steering box
  • Bad tie rod end
  • Bad ball joints
Assuming the power steering fluid is full, bring the car to any brake shop or repair shop that does front end alignments to diagnose the problem further. I hope you find this points you in the right direction. Thank you for using Fixya! Greg

FRONT END SQUEAKS ON DRIVER SIDE

When does the squeak occur? When turning, over bumps, rough pavement? From the limited description i would say the most likely cause for your concern is a dry out outer tie rod end or ball joint. They aren't greasable so they would have to be replaced and the front end aligned to get rid of the noise.

My front end on my 2001 s-type is squeaking like crazy but everything is tight on the drivers side front wheel.

Squeaking may be caused by bushings being dry..when that rubber gets dry, it has a nasty loud sound...the front end will appear tight, because nothing is loose..you can try and spray some WD-40 on your lower control arm bushings, and see if that helps...Goodluck
