How many litres does a E51 nissan elgrand need for an oil change

Should be 4.3 liters completely empty. I would add 3 liters and check the oil level, then add another liter if required by the dipstick. Once at about 4 liters, run the engine and recheck the oil level. Add more if needed.

How many litres of oil in a E51 2003 nissan elgrand please for oil change

Should hold 4.3 liters if dry. With an oil change and filter replacement, I would add 3 liters, check the oil level and add the 4th if it will fit based on the dip stick measurement. Then run the engine, check for leaks and stop the engine to check the oil level again. Add oil to the appropriate level on the dip stick.

When I check the oil it smells of gas motor run strong but why would there be gas in the oil?

your oil may be breaking down, try a really good oil change with a fram oil filter, recommend that you use castrol 30 weight oil in winter and 40 weight in summer, also add lucas oil treatment in with the oil change,it gives great top of motor lubrication, not like regular oil.fram filters are great too, they won't fold under pressure like a cheap one would.when you refine oil,it turns into gas.if you've been using a quick oil change place, stop. find a mechanic that can change your oil. you go to parts store, purchase an oil change kit with 30 weight castrol oil, tell them you want to add lucas oil treatment in on the oil change and have them look up your engine to see how many quarts of oil it takes, make sure they know that you want to add the lucas in on the oil change so you don't overfill the oil.after you've purchased the oil change kit, then go to your mechanic with your supplies and have them change your oil.after you've done this once, you'll do it all the time.quick oil change places buy their oil in bulk and as cheap as possible, then charge you for quality products.they break down quicklyand add very little lubrication to your engine.thank you for choosing fixya.com

I have a 2002 ford focus. two weeks ago after a oil change at a quick-lube joint. i noticed a oil leak on driveway. took it to my mechanic and he replaced valve cover gaskets and oil switch. i noticed...

if the place where you had the oil changed used a oil flush pressure system they could of damaged the seal as they not supposed to have that amount of pressure on them, this would damage all or most of the oil seals. a good oil change is were they dont use one of these systems they cause more problems over time. if you do an oil change its best to do it your self or at a garage you trust. and ask them to add flush cleaner this is a substance you add to the oil and run for 15 min in the engine and then do the oil change, you dont always need to use a flush only if there is a build up of oil carbon in the engine. some build up is normal but if you change the oil regular you don't need to flush as its only old oil that needs changing and flushing. hope this helps

When I start the engine first thing in the morning it makes a clattering sound, until it runs for a minute

the clattering is most likely valves rattling until the oil gets up to top of engine, recommend change the oil and filter, use a good filter like fram oil filter,i've always used castrol 30 weight oil in winter, then summer 40 weight, also recommend you add lucas oil treatment,1 bottle, add with your oil change for top end lubrication, the oil stays and clings onto valves and adds a whole lot more of top end lubrication to your engine than just regular oil.it's just a treatment,i have a 1994 ford explorer with 450.000 miles on it.just trying to see how far i can go with original motor.but i always use castrol oil, fram oil filter and always add lucas oil treatment every time i change my oil.thank you for choosing fixya.com good luck!

When I turn the key on there are there warning beeps on my 1988 audi and the oil light comes on whats going.

If the oil's full the problem is in the sensor and a mechanic can repair the problem. If the oil level is low, change or fill the oil and the light should go off. If you've never done an oil change yourself you may want to have assistance as it can be tricky. When you check the oil and the level is at the "add" line you will add one (1) quart of oil only. If it's not registering on the dipstick you'll need to add two (2) quarts, check the level after several minutes and add accordingly. JiffyLube does good work and will save you the headache of labor. Good luck to you

When do I add Oil?

Really you should not have to add oil. But to find out have jeep on level surface and use the dip stick to check. Check with car off, pull dip stick out and wipe off and reinsert, Pull back out and read the stick only add if it is low. Do not over fill.

Engine rattle noise with oil change light on

Your oil level is low. Wait until the motor is cold and check your oil level. You could also check your level after a drive just shut the motor down and wait 20 minutes for the oil to seep back down out of the block. Pull the dipstick, whipe it clean and did it in again and see what your reading is. If it is between Min and Max towards the middle of both it is fine. If It is all the way up by Max you may have too much, but I bet your oil level is low, I bet when you check it, it will be down near the min mark. If thats the case, find out what type of oil your car uses and buy one quart of oil and add some of it to your motor. I recommend you add about a quarter of the bottle, then stop check the dip stick if still low add a little more. If the level is good then stop. It is critical not to add too much oil. When cars get older they tend to run hot and burn oil. My van does the same thing, I can change the oil and add 5 quarts and about 3 weeks to a month later I have to add a little more and I usually can hear when i need to add some oil because I get a rattle/ping and the idle just doesnt sound right, but once I add the little bit of oil everything is all good.
