one of the known with the bravada-trailblazer-and envoy was the vinal/leather boot cover on the shifter getting jammed and your vehicle also has a park release lever under the boot as well https://www.manualslib.com/manual/654367/Oldsmobile-Bravada-2002.html?page=92 tells how to get out of park --check the trans cable and linkage for damage after releasing shifter
Have you tried manually pressing the neutral safety switch? Not a 100% where it is if your shifter is on the column but the floor shifters usually top right or mid ways along the gear selector, something like a small square that pops out ive seen people release it with a small screw driver.
I have the same problem but i noticed a noise by the shifter so i looked and noticed the wire harness had loose wires. make sure you unplug the battery before messing with the wires.
i Have a 2000 olds bravada and i have had the same problem. Get a pencil or scribe something small a key might even work. Push eject then use the tool of your choice to push the cd down while it is trying to eject. worked for me.
your shifter is not aligned properly this condition indicates that the shifter has placed the transmission in park but just barely it needs like maybe 2 more millimeters of travel.
im not sure what linkage you replaced cause it is electronic. if key is stuck in acc. posision the problem is the ignition switch. the reason i say this is cause when you turn the key it elec. releases the shifter and when the switch gos bad it does not. a new ignition switch should be purchaced from a gm dealer.until fixed you will have to disconnectbatt. every time until fixed and i would also use the park brake when not driving.
yes it has a electric sensor at the shifter and this part can be purchased from a local dealer. not hard to replace after the plastic is removed from around the shifter. the reason i asked if the key could be removed is that, it also has an electronic release as well and diff. part. hope the info will help you.
