I jumped the obd1 connector and come up with a code 43 I checked alldata and it said for this year truck a code 43 is the knock sencor so I replaced the knock sencor but I still have the code 43 evan after clearing the code any input will help.
Check for a 5 volt reference signal at the wiring to the knock sensor. With key on engine off one of the wires to the sensor should have 5 volts.
Are you sure all code 43 said was knock sensor. According to my manual code 43 can be either knock sensor or Electronic spark control circuit fault.
There should be one. It should have the letter HKR stamped on it. I know on some older models it was mounted around the throttle body so that should give you a place to start looking. Hope all this helps!

On Rodeo, Amigo, and Pickup (except 1993-95 models W/3.2L engine), connect the single wire diagnostic leads located behind the left hand kick panel together. On 1993-95 Rodeo models W/3.2 engine, the data link is located under the left hand side of the instrument panel. On all models, turn the ignition switch to the On position. At this point, the "Check Engine" light should flash. codes
