My fuel injector fuse (either fuse #4 or #5, i can't remember but it's the same one every time) blows out inconsistently. It blows out more often when I'm low on fuel or it has been hot outside for an extended period of time. Sometimes the fuse will not blow out for weeks at a time, and other times, I will go through 25 - 50 fuses in a day. I spent $450 to get the fuel injector replaced and the wiring looked at and it didn't solve a thing. The mechanic simply said he'd have to keep trying and charge me even more money close to $600 which I felt wasn't right. I was told to put higher amperage fuses in it, I tried 25A and those blow out immediately when I turn on the ignition. 10A fuses (the recommended amperage) blow out fast. while 15A or 20A seem to work the best. (usually 15) But at times no fuse will hold or will only hold for a few minutes, and other times, the fuse will last for weeks with no problems. When the fuse blows my fuel economy cuts in half, and my acceleration drops to almost nothing, and the car has trouble shifting out of first and second gear, and never reaches fourth. Is this a short somewhere in the wiring? If so how do I fix it.

SOURCE: AC compressor blows fuses when it goes to kick on.
As a mechanic I NEVER put that JUNK in ANY system, they clog up A/C compressor's and every thing elese. (You might have to replace most of the components in your vehicle now. ie condenser, evaporator, compressor, receiver/dryer (accumulator), orifice tube (thermo expansion valve) and you may be able to flush out the lines.

costs like $100 an hour for automotive electrician. use a curcit breaker (looks like a fuse) its silver put it in wher the blown fuse is. buy a compass. and runn the compass over the wiring . when the compas moves in the direction of wiring its in that area. a short curcit creats a magnetic feild.
