You either crushed a line or a cooler for the power steering. The brakes are hydro boost so the braking power comes from the ps pump.

The lines go from the ps pump up to the steering gear then the Brake master /hydroboost assembly were the brake master is normally located on a vehicle. Then the ps line goes from the assembly either back into the ps pump or the vehicle uses a cooler near the radiator. Look for damage to metal lines throughout the system but almost all lines you should be able to follow under the hood. The cooler should be near the radiator along the frame rail.

My power steering quit working after being stuck in a snow drift, what could the problem be?

I would suspect that the power steering belt is off the power steering pump because of the snow packed up in the engine compartment.check all the belts and replace as needed.

It is really hard to turn the wheel. I have plenty of power steering fluid and all the fuses are good. What else could be the issue. It happened after I got stuck in the snow.

Did the belt break? Or is it loose? Did you crawl under the truck and look at the control arm? It might have been bent. Check it out. Hope this helps.

The power steering pump may be faulty,If the level is full i would suggest replacing the pump to see if it repairs your problem. You'll have borrow a power steering pulley remover to remove the pulley.

Sounds like you may have a problem with the power steering pump. Notorious for these pumps shaft to break, causing "armstrong" power steering. As far as the 4wd low problem, ick.

Toyota echo steering is very stiff

Look at the amount of power steering fluid in your power steering pump.
If it is low, then add until a normal level.

If you don't know how to check or add fluid correctly get help in doing so.

If this does not help, then have the Power Steering Pump Tested by a mechanic.
