Question about 2005 Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

Front vents will not work

My front vents will not blow when I turn the vent option I have a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country Van. The heat, defrost, and air only works on the rear vents. I didn't hear any loud or strange sounds, it just stopped working one day.

you can hear the loud sound from inside the car. the sound appears to be on the left front passenger side.seems like.It is similar to heavy pouring water.before this happenedthe car was overheating due to a antifreeze leak that i hAVE had for some time now. What does it sounds like it could be? when i step on the gas the sound gets extremely louder and when i ease off it subsides, but can still hear it somewhat.

If they are stuck on defrost, then the problem is a little vaccum line that comes through the firewall as all the climate controls are vaccum controlled,so look for a small green or black plastic line unhooked.

The a/c in my 205 town and country blows cold air everywhre but the front vent

Hi there, I have seen this before on other cars, it sounds like the vacuum on the heater tap is faulty, have some one check its operation as you move the vent switch, if it is sucking air then it's faulty and will have to be replaced, hope this helps good luck

Pull the blower motor out and clean out the leaves and other vegetable matter that has gotten in there, it is burning off on the very hot blower motor resistor coils

Just replaced battery started car 2008 t&c touring van and very hot air started to blow out the front right side vents all other vents blow cold air checked freon level ..full any suggestings?

You may have to have the body computer "flashed" by a dealer scan tool. Sometimes the body computer looses data when the battery is disconnected. Sometimes it relearns itself after a few trips.

2005 chrysler town & counry constantly blows hot in front

I'd lean more toward the blend door actuator. I've experienced that problem more often with Grand Caravans (aka Town and Countries) and Pacificas. Usually, if it's a resistor, it's the blower motor resister, which means you wouldn't get any air movement at all.

The only thing I can't recall off hand is if Chrysler services the actuator separate from the blend door housing on these models. However, I'm sure that's what you will need as the blend door is what regulates the mixture of cool and hot air. Keep in mind this is not the mode door actuator or housing. That's something completely different that directs the air to different paths (vent, floor defroster, etc.)

Contact Chrysler as I believe these are only available OEM last I checked.

2007 chrysler town and country a/c blows cold through floor and defrost vent but not dash vents

Often a sign of a blend door problem. The blend door or doors are in the heater a/c box behind the dash.

2003 chrysler town and country.....air is not blowing in front vents or defrost..checked blower, fuse, and relay all are o.k.

Some of these use the vacuum to operate the flaps that direct the air, check for the small black pipe that comes from the top of the motor.

Nothing blows through front vents on any setting; back vents work fine

The motor that changes the vent settings is either bad or something has jammed up the system. Mice have been known to make nests in the vent system. Either way this is a job for a professional.
