I have a 03 Audi A6 Quattro with the ESP & ABS light on

I was wondering if anyone had information or a solution on the problem I am having with my 2003 Audi A6 Quattro. Recently, I just had my ignition coil replaced and now my EPS and ABS light is on. I have lost acceleration and no ABS. If anyone had information please help me out, so I do not have to remortgage my house to pay for repairs

I have the same problem. 03 Audi A6 Quattro, 51,000 miles. Three weeks ago, brake light came on. Got new brakes. No lights for 3 weeks, then all of the sudden Ignition light came on and ABS light came on at same time. Next day, lost all accelleratation for 1st and 2nd gear. Couldnt pull out in traffic unless 200 foot cushion. Now today Cruise Control stopped working. Also, my turn signal light broke 4 months ago, $90 repair for new part in the wiring. I am very surprised with everything that goes wrong with it.

I have the same problem with my ESP light, it will go on when I carry 2-3 passengers at the back, when the ESP light is lighted, there is some problem with the brake system, it feels as if the wheel is jammed. I have taken it to our local agent for repair they are unable to slove the problem, Can anybody help me with this problem?

It's probably your brake check switch going bad, it's under the driver's side dash above the brake pedal. I had the same problem and eventually my cruise control and brake lights stopped working when it failed completely. This is also a redesigned part that you can get from the dealer for about $8, which to me indicates they new the part caused problems and failed to notify owners. Try that before Audit tries telling you wires are faulty.

Hi ive had same problem on my 2003 a6, its the brake light switch which is faulty, located at top of brake pedal, takes maybe 30 minutes to change easy job and only cost £9.55 for new switch. (check to see if your brake lights are out, if they are then its definatly brake light switch).

you probably have a faulty abs sensor, the whole system gets information from the abs. If that sensor is reading improperly, it thinks the car is doing something it's not supposed to and it's reacting.

I have a 2000 Audi TT Quattro (180). Both my ABS and ESP light were on. I took it to my local garage who replaced a front wheel sensor which eliminated the ABS light. After a 30 mile drive the ESP light...

Check bearing and joint/knuckle on every wheel and even on the drive shafts, if there is lack/knocking, that could cause abs and esp light, because sensor doesnt give right information and ecu only records sensor fault but doesnt say why the infromation is wrong.
They changed the sensor but didnt solve the cause!!!

Break light and anti-brake comes on sometimes on My 1999 Audi A6

This is common in the audi cars. It may be that your ABS module is failing or the the connector to the ABS pump located in the engine compartment on the drivers side, with black metal lines going into it. Their is a large black connector that sometimes needs to be unplugged and cleaned and plugged back in

ABS Warning Light

A problem in the ABS, you'll have to see a shop for that because they should have the proper scan tool to check the ABS (generic's can't cut it with the in depth modules).
