No, but that's probably where your problem is. The wires get the hell beat out of them by stones, and then they short out and cause problems. I would take a look at it.

I would recommend trying a new bulb just in case you have one that is defective unless you have tested the bulb by trading places with it in another socket on the rear or a side that you know works.

There should two separate bulbs for marker and blinker. It sounds like a bulb is burnt out, bad ground, melted socket or a wiring anomaly. Are you certain it's supposed to have 57 series dual element bulbs for blinker and markers?

Just exchange the rear signal light bulb for a new one, that will fix the problem Ps, it will be wise to replace the one on the other side as these bulbs have a life expectancy, do them both at the ame time.

Normally with the blinker blinking really fast, it's telling you that one of the bulb is blown, front or rear signals. Check your fuse, and fuse relay to see if it would fix the promblem

Fast Blinker

Usually a fast turn signal means that there is a light out. You should probably check all of your lights, including back-up lights, and turn signals. If there is one out then replacing the burnt out bulb should fix the problem.

LEFT BLINKER RUNNING AT HIGH BLINK RATE

Make sure bulb replaced is the required 2 way or 1 way. If you're sure you put in the right bulb type (1 way or 2 way) 6 or 12 volt.. bulb model marked on side for replacement (Check carefully). Assuming its the right bulb type and still blinks fast, you will have to replace the socket. Sockets do get corroded and worn. Disconnect the battery, cut positive then cut negative. Wire up new socket same way using wire connectors. Tape up connections after.
Should then work.
Make sure before you do this you have the right bulbs in all sockets (front and rear) and that all lights work 1st. One failing light front rear same side can cause this problem.
Go to a scapper to get a socket.. just cut it off a wreck... take a couple of them. There cheap.
Good luck
