The ABS light and traction light both keep coming on in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I also get a message alert in the panel saying service electrical brake system. When I'm in the car and I start to press on the brake the brake petal kicks back up and makes kind of a grinding sound. What seems to be the problem and what do I do to fix it??

Your brake system needs to be serviced. Could be a sensor, I wouldnt drive it until fixed.

What does it mean when all my warning light come on? ABS, check engine, traction control etc... is there a reset button? 2014 grand cherokee

Did engine stall, that be #1 and NOT STATED
all cars , all lamps come on , warning, at keyon
and all stalls for the same reason
the lamps all ON, means warning self test mode
as stated in the operators guide, how to start your engine, on all jeeps made, all OPR manuals.
like the 10,000 post here, same , and same answer
search much, nah that takes work.
it means get the car serviced, as the glove box guide told you and you failed to read it?
no there is no reset. (not that you can do or touch)
if engine is running and you can drive.
then those lamps are REAL, failures.
your car has brake failures.
the LAMPS mean SCAN ME, to a tech,
to you it means per operators guide, "get the car serviced now, if ABS glows, be careful on the road"

Abs light is on intermittently as well as service electric break system, service 4wheel drive system, check engine light, and vehicle with wavy lines. 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 hemi. 140,00 hwy mi.

If you want to DiY, get an OBD code reader that'l connect to a smartphone. I use one with my two Mopars and it's great for pulling diagnostic codes (and recording GPS tracks). The brakes, electronic 4WD and traction control (wavy lines) are all critical safety systems; if you don't pull the codes yourself then get it to a good mechanic as soon as you can.

Why does my 2005 pontiac grand prix say service variable effort steerin, traction control off, and service abs?

jack up the four points of the vehicle one at a time shake the tire up to down and left to right, you have bad hub assemblies which tells you your ABS IS BAD take it from there and see what lights disappear, keep me posted and we will go from there.

On our Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005 the perform service comes on for the first minute after starting, then disappears. I have used a code reader under the dash and no message appears.

05 GC
i guess you lost the operators guide, as do most post here.
buy one?
its not an error, DTC are errors
the 05 that is a DO SERVICE light, all new cars have this.
the way it works is
you drive
lamp comes on
they do the service, and they turn it out
or you do it and then turn it out.

that simple.
so then you ask, how to turn it off.
answer, posted 1million times, (goggle it)

here ill type that for you, no problem.

https://www.google.com/webhp#q=turn+off+2005+jeep+service+light

easy huh?
or get the operators manual.
here it is for free.
down load it and keep it. (read it, it covers this 100%)

2008 jeep grand cherokee abs problem

Usually means the wheel sensor is bad or a wiring problem to that sensor. The warning lights are on to tell you those systems are turned off.

The ABS Light and msg cnter on 2005 Jeep cherokee is coming on.

You have to check you brakes yourself or take it to the shop, I had a brake light on and once I change the rotors and brake pads the brake light went off.
