2) Use a small screwdriver to pry it away from the door. Be careful of the paint:

3) The panel will expose the 3 Replacing driver's side mirror on Kia Sorento - 3_18_2013_2_43_24_pm.jpgbe removed:

4) The cable harness needs to be removed Replacing driver's side mirror on Kia Sorento - 3_18_2013_2_44_56_pm.jpghe door panel. Remove the Replacing driver's side mirror on Kia Sorento - 3_18_2013_2_45_02_pm.jpgew cover:

Once the one screw is removed it will allow you to move the door panel enough to get to the harness and the 2 bottom bolts.

Here is how the harness looks:

Once the harness is removed and the 3 bolts removed the mirror will come out.

Repeat the steps to re install your new mirror.

SOURCE: removing door panel drivers side to connect mirror wiring behind this panel

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

SOURCE: How to replace passenger side mirror on 2007 Camry

To remove mirror pry off inside triangle panel(black) which exposes 3 nuts which are removed with socket wrench. Detach wire harness and pull out mirror assembly. To replace insert new mirror screws thru assigned holes and reconnect wire harness and tighten nuts to snug. Push inside triangle panel back into place and you're done! It's that easy.

SOURCE: How do remove drivers side door panel

First you need to remove the door handle and window crank by pushing back the ring and releasing the handles. Also the arm rest will have screws into the steel door frame that must be removed. The panel itself has plastic snaps that are pushed into holes in the doors steel frame. The trick is to slide a pry bar or even two is better, one on ether side of the clip and force the pin out. You need to be patent and do one at a time. The door panels are made of a less than hard strong material and will brake apart easily especially if they are older. The clips go all the way around the lower three sides and the top will lift off the sill.

yes... you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you can access the bolts holding the mirror on and disconnect the wiring harness as well..

How to tell if a fuse in 2003 Kia Sorento is good

None of those would be fixed by replacing the battery. Or did you replace the battery and then all of those stopped working?

You can tell of blade fuses are blown if you full them and hold them up to the light. That is a whole lot of stuff not working. I would say you need a good auto-electrician.

I have a 2006 Kia Sorento. The driver side view mirror got cracked in a minor accident. Only the mirror got cracked, but the entire casing is still in-tack. Do I need to replace the whole casing or can I...

Yes you can replace it yourself, but you must be extra careful, the mirror glass is attached to a holder that can be removed ( not sure how in Sorento) and that the replacement mirror can be attached. Try to have a look at the new replacement and you will be able to figure out how.

Replacing passenger side mirror

If you are replacing the entire mirror assembly you have to remove the door panel.

First remove the switch plate by prying upward at the rear of the switch plate and unhook the connectors. Then remove the two armrest screws. The door panel then has to be pryed away from the door to release the clips. They don't give up easily so yo may have to force it a bit. Once the clips are loose pull up on the panel to remove it from the window reveal molding. The mirror is held on with three 10mm nuts. remove those and unhook the wiring from in the door. Install is reverse of removal.

Good Luck
