hi there, you will need a diagnostic check carried out to locate the exact fault, most garages have the equipment to carry out these checks so you won't need to visit your ford agent, a common fault on the engines is the camshaft sensor these cost around £20 and are very easy to replace, however once you have it tested you will now your exact fault, hope this helps

Drop in to an Autozone, or Pep Boys, or similar big parts store & they will usually scan for codes free. This will hopefully eliminate all the guess work, or at least point everyone in right direction for better diagnosis. If not obvious from codes what the problem is, get back to us and we'll help you out.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the great suggestion . I'll have Autozone read the codes on Monday. Thanks again!"

Having good fuel pressure is a plus (yours seems a bit high but I don't have specs) What you need to find out is if the injectors are opening and putting the fuel into the engine so it can work. Are the plugs wet with fuel or dry? Does it fire up if you spray carb cleaner into the throttle body while cranking?

Testimonial: "thanks for quick reply..will pull plugs and inspect..wow what a great site!"

You need to get the fault codes read which could mean that the reader has to be connected on a test run until the same thing happens again

Ford mondeo faults

the flashing orange light is the glowplug light that telling you there is a engine managment problem. you need to get the fault code out of the engine control module with a obd code reader to determine the cause but the common cause of the flashing glow plug warning is a air leak after the turbo charger

Exhaust manifold leak? That's not common. You talking about the VVT near the manifold at the top of engine above the power steering pump? Yes indeed, AC Delco is the only one our engines love. 41-103. Obviously you have P0304, what other codes?

Muffler with heat coming out warning light on mitsi rvr

Had the same problem with check engine light coming on, loss of power, missing always starting to accel and in speeds between 10-30 mph, little smoke coming out of exhaust. Took it to the shop come to find out the catylic converter had been rusted out due to wear and tear or age. Spent 200.00 dollars since I knew the guy to replace it and now the car runs great.
