Fuel pump check on a 2004 santa fe

Check for a broken ground wire around the fuel pump. Or somehow you may have tripped the inertia switch under the hood on the side of the shock tower.

Check to see if the #1 fuse under the hood is blown. That one supplies power to both the ASD and fuel pump relays. This could fix your no spark or fuel pump power ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Check fuses under the hood. When the crankshaft sensor shorts, it often blows this fuse. It is a 10 amp fuse. I don't remember what number it is off hand but it will be efi related.

FUEL FILTER IS WITH THE IN TANK FUEL PUMP.

Under Hood (U/H) junction box (fuse & relay box, driver's side next to battery). 40 amp, fusible link.

have you checked the master fuses under the hood? there should be two boxes under hood

There is obviously a short circuit somewhere. Best solution, take vehicle to nearest Hyundai Service Center, pay diagnostic fee. They will give you an estimate of repairs (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.). This way you'll find out EXACTLY what the problem is and what's required to fix it.

There is not a Switch for the Fuel Pump. Look under the Hood and Locate the Fuse Relay Box. Inside this Box is a Relay for the Fuel Pump. The Diagram should be inside the Box Cover or Inside the Owners Manual. Replace this Relay and it should Start unless the Fuel Pump needs to be Replaced. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
