Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Door handle broke and I bought a new one to replace it but would like a nice walk through so I don't mess anything up on replacing it. This was loaned to me by a friend and I told him I would fix it before giving it back to him. Thanks for any help.
This is VERY common on these Trucks. My 1995 Silverado has done it Several Times. First you are going to need Door Panel Clips to replace the Ones that you will Break taking off the Door Panel. Any Decent Auto Parts Store Carries them. VERY Straight Forward from there on. For the Exterior Handle-Remove All clips and Screws once inside the Door and Replace. Make sure to put the Rubber Seal on the New Handle or it will leak! For the Inside Handle- Remove the Pin connecting the Old handle and Replace with the New once you get the Door Panel off it is Really Easy from there on!
