96 gmc 1500 pu with only one wiper sprayer working
My passenger side wiper sprayer does not spray when the drivers side does. I've tried using a paper clip and cleaning out the hole, still nothing. Do I have to take off the cover that is under the wipers to get to the hoses to see if one came disconnected, or could it be something else??

Can you see the hose for that side before it goes under the cowling if you can see if there is a tee for right and left if so pull the hose of and blow through the hose might work if not you will have to remove the wiper arms to remove the cover good luck kdc

The sprayer itself may be attached to the underside of the wiper arm and is removable. Carefully remove the sprayer, disconnect the hose, and turn on the wiper and the washer. It liquid comes out of the hose, the sprayer is clogged. If no liquid comes out, the hose could be clogged, so replace the hose. You need to find the other end at the black plastic manifold that divides the washer flow into the two sprayers. Disconnect the passenger side and blow into in, just in case to unclog it, then try again. If the washer is working for the driver side, that manifold is unclogged.
Soaking the sprayer overnight in vinegar could unclog it., but the sprayer is cheap to buy new.
Have you tried taking a clothing pin and clearing the spray tip? I've had my WWF nozzles clog on me before, I noticed it when only one side was spraying. I just took a sewing needle and unclogged it, worked fine after that.
I am assuming the truck is alot like my 2001 yukon. If that is the case, then the wiper motor is underneath the plastic cowl in front of the windshield. Mine was held on by 4 clips on the front and one screw on each side of the vehicle (driver/passenger). Wiper arms will need to be removed and will most likely need a wiper arm puller tool.
if the wiper arm is held on by a nut, try tightening it. you should be able to pry the appearence cap off with a screwdriver and veiw the nut. if the wiper arm is connected with a locking cilp, it has either come loose or the shaft splines are stripped. is there any noises when the wipers are on? http://www.ehow.com/how_4854867_remove-wiper-arms-dodge-van.html
The sprayer nozzle is clogged, first try cleaning it with a very thin pin, if still it doesn't work, you can install a new one, all you need to do is press the side clips of the sprinkler ( under the hood ) and it easily pops up and pull it out ( top of the hood ).
May want to look at replacing the wiper circuit board. It is located on the firewall adjacent to the wiper motor and has a some what square black cover with 3 torx screws and wireing harness pluged into the side.We had a truck that every time you washed it the wipers would stay on until it dryed out.You can try removing it and spaying it down with contact cleaner just watch the brease on the two contact tips.Well hope this helps.
