I have same problem with my 1999 Silhouette van with the driver information center on the overhead console....pretty common....found out usually from leak in windshield and water gets into the electrical part of info center....and sure enough that is what had happened (as car gets older windshield corrodes) thing is it is a sealed unit and you have to replace it....pretty expensive from dealer....check local salvage yard for a 1998-1999 Chevy/GM truck or van that might have console...they are all the same for those years.

SOURCE: 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada high idle problem

thats the code ... its releasing why though???
idling high GM trucks I found plugged catylac converters with bad oxygen sensors ...probable from what i seen on vortecs .....
and also if you got a vacuum gauge unplug egr top vacuum line put a vacuum gauge see if the gauge is erratic from the motor at idle...emission problem
if you unplug the egr line and the car leans out its a oxy sensor..!!!!

SOURCE: AWD on 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada

possibly, but the most common problem is the engagement motor located on the rear of the transfer case. Motor looks like small wiper motor and can be replace fairly easily.

The heater blows hot air when in cool position on a 98 olds bravada

AC not working?

on a hot day it will blow warm/hot air if the AC is turned off or not working

If its hot air and AC is working then i would start by checking the fuse or relay. if its not the fuse/relay then i would look into the heater box there is a door that blocks the hot air

1998 olds Bravada, runs great in the driveway, once in gear, i give it gas and it quits, only happens in cold weather

Bad TPS will give you a SES light. Possible low fuel pressure from bad fuel pump. Put a fuel pressure gauge on the service port close to the firewall, should stay above 50 psi when juicing the gas. Only use OEM parts on a Bravada! Try "thepartsladi" store on eBay.

Do you have a 4WD Bravada? Or an AWD? If it is AWD, there is no shifting. It is in 4WD Drive all the time.

Do you have something on the dash that allows you to change from 2WD to 4WD HI/Lo? Is so, then check your fuses in the fuse box. You may just have a blown fuse.
