Question about 1998 GMC Jimmy
1998 Jummy - VERY well maintained - just started having a problem starting it. Mechanic said computer shows no problem, car will turn over but will not start - almost as though the spark is not happening. It seems to happen when it's humid outside although the weather here in Maine has been cold/warm/wet/dry and I still haven't been able to pinpoint when it actually happens. It won't start today - it's 28degrees and rain/snow mix outside - started yesterday all day - it was 5degrees and sunny. Changed distributor and rotor - to no avail. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
I just had the same problem i thought it was weather related ,too but it was not. you need to replace the ignition module mounted beside the coil and its set in an alumine bracket that has wires that plug into it it cost about $ 72.00 very easy to replace
