Hello if you still haven't fixed the problem, all you have to do is close the car door. Lock the door and then unlock the door using the driver side lock and the security lights will go off and the car will start. If you try using any other door it will not work. I think the driver side lock has a electronic solenoid. You can also try the back hatch.

It sounds like the transponder chip in your key needs reprograming "dose any lights on the dash come on or flash"

Check your alternator by starting engine and removing negative battery cable while running. If engine stops, replace alternator.

On my 94 jeep im having an electrical problem, something is killing my battery and i checked the alternator and my starter and i can not find the solution something is killing my battery rapidly please...

START THE VEHICLE, PUT A VOLTMETER ON THE BATTERY. THE VOLTAGE SHOULD READ 13.90 TO 14.80. IF THAT IS OK, THERE MAY BE A BATTERY DRAIN. TURN OFF EVERY SWITCH IN THE CAR.CLOSE ALL THE DOORS. MAKE SURE ALL THE COURTESY LIGHTS ARE GOING OUT. & THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT. RAISE THE HOOD. DISABLE ANY UNDER HOOD LIGHTS. DISCONNECT THE NEG. CABLE FROM THE BATTERY. PUT A 12 VOLT TEST LIGHT, ONE END ON THE NEG BATTERY POST & THE OTHER END ON A GOOD GROUND { METAL }. IF THE LIGHT COMES ON THERE IS A BATTERY DRAIN. NO LIGHT , NO DRAIN. IF IT'S ON, ONE AT A TIME PULL THE FUSES OUT OF THE POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX. IF THE LIGHT STAYS LIT, PUT THE FUSE BACK. DO THIS WITH ALL THE FUSES BIG & SMALL. IF THE LIGHT STAYS LIT, DISCONNECT THE ALTERNATOR. THEY CAN CHARGE THE BATTERY WHILE RUNNING, & DRAIN WHEN STOPPED.

Jeep has been having trouble starting. A new starter, alt, and battery has been tried.

did you replace these things because the engine was turning over slower then normal?
or no turning over at all?
or turning over but wouldn't start?

94 vette won't start,bat good,have org. key,fuses ok,high beam light on lights off,lcd cluster won't light up?

Disconect the battery and ECM for FOUR DAYS then reconect the ECM and BATTERY. Let it sit for another four days without turning anything on. It should start but will run rough for about 200 miles as the ECM relearns the system. I had the same issue and that is what fixed it.

Battery not re-charging, replaced battery and alternator no luck

Here are a couple of ideas for you to try. First check in the power ditribution box under the hood, there is a fuse for the charging system, either use a circuit tester or just pull each fuse one at a time. Usually it is a 10 amp fuse as it is on my 94 cherekee. if you find any bad fuses replace them with same type and amperage. you should also check the fuse box on the right side of the dash, door has to be open for acess to the cover on the end of the dashboard, check all of those fuses also. If you live near an AUTOZONE auto parts store, take your jeep there and they can test your alternator on the vehicle , or you can remove it from vehicle and take it inside, they can bench test it. If you have a volt meter you can test it yourself, start vehicle, set meter to volts at least 20 or higher , place black probe on negative post on battery, red on positive, look at readout, a good alternator will put out 13.5 to14.0 volts, which is how much it takes to run vehicle and accesories and charge battery. If alternator doesn't put out 13.5 to 14.0 volts it is defective. I hope these ideas help.

93 grand ltd Stalls after intial start all dummy lights come

greetings: the reason your veh will not run is because the security system has been activated. it will allow you to start it but the security system kills the motor so the veh can not be driven off if in fact it was being stolen. if you have the remote control, lock the veh and then unlock it. this will shut the security system down and return your veh to normal and it should start and run normal. i have a 93 and 94 both worked this way. using the key to lock and unlock to shut the system did not work for me but the remote did the job.also anytime the batt cable is removed, the security system will activate when you put the batt cable back on. then you have to do what i described above on mine to deactivate the security system. the manual says use the key to deactivate the system but that does not work on mine. i hope this helps have a great day wayne
