They range from 12,000 to around 18,000 depending on the features and if your buying it off of a private seller. You can gauge it yourself by the condition of everything but with those miles and if its pretty nicley loaded then im gonna say around the 15,000 mark would be ideal. Please give me a rating if this helps you.

Going to buy Ford f 350 7.3 international diesel. Owner said he backed into parking space, smelled fuel, and saw that rubber lines leaking. Replaced lines, and truck will not start. He never bleed fuel...

bleed out the air and get the engine running, then decide if the price is good or not
still even if the engine and transmission is faulty requiring replacements , , as the body is in good condition the extra cost may still make it a good buy compared to used car card prices

What are some common problems with the 2005 chevy impala with the 3.4

3.4 will run about 100-150 thousand miles. They can last longer if ya dont beat on it. They tend to get a little lifter noise when they get older. Its not a terrible motor. 3.8 was ALOT better. 200-250 thousand miles. I had a Regal with 240 thousand when i sold it.

Is $7300 for a clean title in good condition clean 2001 jeep cherokee with 110,000 miles too much

I don't know if that is to much. Now a days it is really up to the buyer on what it is worth to you. With this bad economy it is a buyers market, so take advantage of that. Here is my professional mechanical advice for you to consider before buying it. First go to KELLY BLUE BOOK and check value and then CAR FAX, that will tell you the history on the jeep. NEVER take there word for it. Kelly blue book will tell you price its worth based on miles, condition, and options it has. CAR FAX will assure you of the history, wrecks, maintenance, clean title, how many previous owners etc... Then once all that checks good on history and value by those two places, for about 50 bucks, you can go to almost any mechanical shop, and they can do a mechanical check on the jeep, check compression, transmission, breaks, etc.... to make sure you have nothing soon to be broke down. Always good to have it checked out prior to buying. If the seller does not allow you to do a car fax, and kelly blue book and also have certified mechanic like myself look it over, then they have something to hide. That is my advice, Mike from Fixya

My 2000 T 4Runner has 200,000 miles on it. Should I start looking for a newer one? It still runs very well, although it's had a few problems. Is $16,000 a good price for 2004 4Runner V8 with 90,000 miles...

It is really your choice but your 4Runner is capable of allot more miles with good maintenance. If your looking to save money the V8 4Runner in not a good option.

My daughter wants to buy a 2000 es300 Lexus with 175,000 miles on it we are not sure if thats to many miles for a lexus, she doesn't want to give them 5,000 dollars for a car with those many miles if its...

5000$ for an 11yr old car with 175,000 miles is a lot of money, even for a lexus, this mileage is where you have to start expecting some fairly major problems, i would say 3500 - 3600$ is a fair price for this car regardless of how nice it looks, if she just must have this car that would be my offer, that way she could put the difference away for unforseen problems, this amount would take car of most major problems, excluding complete engine failure, go online to see what similar models are selling for

Is a dodge straight 6 diesel engine with 110,000

Yes, that is a good buy depending on price of course. A Cummins engine can run for 300,000 miles or longer. Generally reach the 500,000 mile mark with no major problems. There is a chance of an injector pump going out if it wasn't maintained well. I would buy it. I hope this helps please rate this and thank you

Buying 2001 RX300 65,000 miles extra clean

If you aren't mechanical, have someone who is check the car out. Specifically, the transmission fluid for color and smell (On toyota's they are to be changed every 30K miles, few drivers do this), and pull the spark plugs to see if they all appear relatively clean (a burnt looking plug indicates an engine problem). Ask to see the maintenance records. Oil should be changed every 3-4,000 miles if regular oil, 8-10,000 if synthetic.

The next BIG thing regarding maintenance is timing belt and water pump at 90,000 miles. Expect 500-700 for this, not at the lexus dealer. Probably double at the lexus dealer.

I would be interested under 12,000. Very interested under 10,000.

FYI, I'm driving a 95 ES300 with 170,000 miles and it runs like a top. These cars require very little in the way of repair if they are maintained. My goal is 300,000 just to see if it can be done. Unfortunately, I drive a total of 1,000 miles a month these days. So it will be a while. On the interior, you can have very nice new leather seats installed if the rest of the interior is in reasonable shape. Cost around $1,000 or a little less.

Good luck!!

High Mileage.... No Timing belt change!....

If you buy this car, you should change the timing belt asap. Check Edmonds, and other internet sites for average prices, (197k miles brings the price down for sure, internet sites should give an amount to deduct for the miles) average for this year is around 70k). The fog light and small dent aren't big issues, but deduct the cost of timing belt change from prices you get on the internet. Good Luck coountrycurt0

Mileage 194,000 SCARY!

If most of the miles were done on the highway, that is a good thing. If most were stop and go, then I would shy away from buying it. If you continue with the oil changes at 3000 miles and keep the car up on maintenance, you'll see alot more miles out of this car. It should be a really good one for a college commuter. I wouldn't hesitate in buying this car.
