Question about 2001 Pontiac Montana
I have an '01 Montana w/ VCR "Montanavision." I can get the DVD player for an '02-'06. Are the wiring plugs compatible? I know the DVD will fit in the VCR hole on the console.
Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays.
there are 4 screws. two in the front behind the cup holder and two up underneath in the cupholder bay after the cupholder is removed. they are phillips head and 8mm I believe. this is all you need to remove the cover.

You need to get the check engine light codes read. Until then you're just guessing when you replace parts. The engine light is on for a reason, it means there are stored trouble codes. Get those codes read and look them up here - http://www.obd-codes.com

Most major Autoparts stores will get the Diagnostic codes from car computer and give you info on why light is on and what the problem is.

remove the ignition coil pack ( 2 10mm bolts on front of it and 2 13 mm nuts on the back side) u will need a long extension and deep socket for the back ones , and unplug all electrical connectors and remove it from the vehicle and you should be able to reach the back plugs without a problem.

Hello - please see image below for your answer - the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6, from rear of motor to the front, starting from right side.
Hope this helps and good luck!
