Need firing order for plug

1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2,. Rotor turns clockwise . #1 should be marked on cap

i just bought a new distributor cap for a 1984 chevy 350 and i have no clue as to which is the # 1 plug....i need a diagram cuz it's not marked on the distributor cap

#1 will be facing forward then looking down on the cap going clockwise #8 will be to the left then so on, 4,3,6,5,7,2.
Before putting the cap on pull #1 plug and bring the piston to top dead center, TDC, when it is TDC check to make sure the timing mark on the harmonic balancer is on the zero mark, look back at the rotor, it should be be facing somewhat forwrd to the motor. That will be your #1 plug.
