Question about 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche

1 Answer

I have an 04 chevy pickup, yesterday went to start it, would not turn over..nothing. Later tried again and it started right up. noticed that the clock restarted. While driving last night, turned the high beams on, and all the gage lights came on, and it scanned driver 1, like when you first start it, and the clock restarted again. It happened twice lat night, but could not duplicate the problem last night not this morning.

we have a similar problem but our truck is dead every morning, we had the truck in 4 times including today with no fix, the battery cables have been tighened and the posts cleaned, also we had the battery checked as it is 4 olds, battery is good, the battery shop could see that there is a draw that causes the battery to die, however the local dealership says they still can find the draw or the fix

I have been having the same problem with my 2004 chevrolet pick in regard to not starting. It has been occurring for about six months. Eventually it starts. It is frustrating and embarrassing (in line at the car wash is embarrassing, picking up mom from the hospital is frustrating)

We havew same problem. All lights and guages work just not turning starter over. We un hook battery over night and hook back up next moring and it starts.. We drive it all day but we don't turn it off till we get back home. Then it may start again or not, If it doesn't start we un hook battery for over night and hook back up in morning and it will start. Any ideas?

I would start with checking your battery connections and your ground connections. Sounds like you are losing battery voltage.

I have 1998 Chevy Silverado with over 200,000 miles. One morning I started it up just fine, backed out of the drive way, and it just died. I turned the ignition to off, and turned it back on and parked it....

Check your battery terminals. They may be corroded or just loose. If you get it running again have the battery and charger tested at an Advance or Autozone.

Hope this helps.

1999 Chevy S10 cranks but wont start

A very common problem on the 99 S10 is a leaky fuel pressure regulator in the intake plenum. What happens is when the truck sits for a few hours or more the regulator leaks all of the fuel in the fuel injection system into the intake air plenum. This does 2 things, 1 it has no fuel pressure when starting and 2 it floods the air intake with raw fuel. Sometimes if you turn the key on wait 3 seconds then turn key off then turn key back on and just turn key to crank starter for a split second and wait 3 this 3 times to repressurize fuel system then crank to start(you will hear fuel pump buzz each time you do this.also you may have leaky fuel injectors. Try to crank engine with the gas pedel to the floor. This will tell the computer to stop spraying fuel trhough the injectors and it will start. Joe ASE Master Tech

"04"sorento fuel or not?

replace the fuel filter first, if that does not work, you have a bad fuel injector.
