SOURCE: '94 GMC truck ignition stuck

Hi Jane, Your problem may be being caused by the bent key, but you may need to replace the ignition barrel and switch as it too may be defective. The barrel takes the key and at the working end (opposite side to where the key fits) is a rod which fits into the switch which turns the ignition on and off and operates the starter. I'm suspecting that it is either loose (the attachment screw may have become loose) worn or broken. Regards John

How can I get key out which is stuck in ignition of 2008 cobalt. It also won't start

This can happen if the battery is low / dead. To solve, connect a set of jumper cables between the battery in the Cobalt and a running car's battery. Shut off the running car. In the Cobalt, make sure all accessories (lights, radio, fan, etc.) are off. Step on the brake, then move the gear shifter fully into the PARK position. Next, either attempt to start the engine, or turn the key to the OFF position and remove it from the ignition.

I hope this helps & good luck!

Stuck eldorado key in DTS ignition now car won't start

Make sure your steering wheel isn't locked. Sometimes a key won't turn until you jiggle the wheel while trying to turn the key.

My hhr will not turn off, where is the battery so i can disconnect it

Unplugging the battery won't shut it down I don't think.

Get into your fuse box under the dash or in the engine compartment and pull the fuse for the fuel pump.
