Question about 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 Truck
My work truck when it is below a half a tank will start jerking and blowing out white puffs of smoke. Already had the injectors looked at. This problem is a real pain because we are always on the fly and cant shut my truck down. Any comments or answers would be appreciated. Thank you
I had about the same problem...........
but not quite. My dodge (diesel) did just about the same and after many, many, many, different opinions i thought may b, just may b, my fuel filter cap may not b on tight enough, and so I tightened it and guess what?? It fixed all but a very small bit of it cutting-out, just a little bit.

I do not own that truck, not do I own one, but I can tell what I know. Some fuel tanks have more than one pump, one picks up fuel up high, and the other picks up what is on the bottom. Also, if diesel pumps have in tanks filters, that could be your culprit. But since diesels have such complicated fuel delivery systems, I could not say for sure.
