Question about 1999 Audi A6
Hii, i have a 1998 Audi A6 Quattro. The other day my wife was driving and she hit a pot hole. Since then the oil warning light has been flashing on the dashboard for a few minutes then it goes away while driving, then it comes back again while driving slow. I just had an oil change but the problem is still there. Is it safe to drive this car or would i have to take it to the dealer. Please advice.
I would take it to the dealer immediately. This could indicate a serious oil pump problem. It may be nothing, but if your oil pump goes out, your engine will lock up; and that means you'll, at best, be repairing major parts. At worst, you'll be buying a new car!
