Question about 2004 Ford Explorer
All lights work, inside and out. dash, radio, everything except the car turning on. Is there a reset button for the alarm? It seems like it has to do with the alarm system.
Is the engine turning over? When you turn the key to the on position, does it behave normally? IE, do the battery and airbag and other lights come on when you turn the key to on position?

It happened to me and after I had two mechanics look at it, my husband used his key to start it. From that point on my key worked ok.

My van will not start even after i change the battery and it started. And the alarm system will now work.Cannot lock the doors or the alarm to work.
