The headlight switches and the headlight switch connector get burnt contacts, replace as necessary.

My father in law has a 96 Ford Ranger. The turn signals work until you turn on the headlights or press the brakes. Any ideas as to why this started happening?

Sounds like a wire is shorted out, so remove one side turn signal light and try it again to isolate which side is shorting out. Could be sockets which corrode, so you have to narrow down problem, same for headlights, unplug bulb one side at a time and see if that changes and your turn signals work again.

Good luck,

Both head lights don't work on my 1992 Ford Ranger. Could it be a fuse? All other lights are working.

I believe headlights have a self resetting circuit breaker. Perhaps the headlight switch is bad, or the dimmer switch... both must work for headlights to work. Get a meter or test light and check to see where you're not getting power. I hope this helps.

94 ford ranger blowing fuses when i turn on headlights

I would check the trailer light wiring to make sure it doesnt have any wires that are exposed or touching metal.Odds are that is what is causing the fuse to blow
