Question about 1992 Ford Taurus
The manual can be had at most any auto parts store. It's not going to fix a badly slipping tranny.
I don't think you're going to find a "free" transmission that's worth the trouble - - it's one of those "gotta-have items. Even the junkyard parts aren't free, and I wouldn't expect to find a tranny that works in a junkyard (they tend to get pulled early-on if they're any good).
You probably want to look for local sources of rebuilt transmissions, either online or in the phonebook.

There isn't much you can do about that problem. You might try
changing the fluid and filter in the tranny but it is likely you will need the trans rebuilt. Good luck. Neil W.
