1995 Ford Probe Won't Start

My 1995 4 cylinder 2.0 Ford Probe died on me the other day. So far this is what I've checked. I put in a new PCV Valve. The starter turns over fine. The Fuel Pump kicks on with ignition (I can smell gas in the cylinders when the spark plugs are out and I crank it). I put new spark plugs and spark plug wires in - I'm getting good spark on all 4 when the ignition is cranked. When I try to start the engine, it will sputter a few times, but it just won't start. Any ideas where to look next and how?

SOURCE: 1995 Ford Probe sputtering, dying. Won't start now.

to make sure the fuel pump is operating get in a quite place get in vehicle and turn ignition switch on position you should hear alittle buzz for about 2 seconds try this several times if no buzz is heard then the fuel pump is not running. check fuel pump relay in power box by switching relay with one of same type thare should be one of same type in the box if not then purchase one and try it. If the pump is ok then you know you have a firing problem. check to see if you have spark by taking one of the spark plugs out then hook spark plug wire to it lay it on engine and look for spark while someone turns the ignition switch as if trying to start car

SOURCE: air condition compressor won;t kick in

Most likely a loss of refrigerant ( freon ) in the system. The A/C compressor uses a low pressure switch as a SAFETY to insure it wont turn on without freon in the system. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 1995 taurus dome light and door lights won.t go

One of the door switches is bad. Try spraying wd4o into all the latches, sometimes this will free up the switches. It might take a couple of days. If it doesn't work you'll have to unhook one at a time to find out which one is bad.

SOURCE: my 1995 honda accord cranks but won't start

Does it seem to be tempreture related. i had a cutomers vehicle for almost 2 weeks and it started everytime. The thing was it was inside the garage. Finally one day I had pulled it out into the sun and when i went to put it back in, at that point it didn't start. It was a Honda but don't remember the year but it was around a 1995 like yours. It eneded up being the PGMFI relay wich would cause the exact sysmtoms that you are talking about. I have found out since then that this is a common problem. Give that a shot. I hope this helps and good luck.

Ive got a 93 mazda mx-6. the motor came out of a 97 ford probe 2.0. with that being said.. 2 days ago, i drove it down a bumpy road (slow) at a coast. it dies and won't start. ive looked everywher

According to the wiring diagram, there is no inertia switch on a Mazda MX-6. The fuel pump circuit only has a pump relay which is powered by a fuse and grounded by the computer.
And if the car did have an inertia switch it would not affect the ignition system.
If you have no spark and no fuel pressure I would check the circuits for the pump, coil, and computer at those fuse locations and beyond. Could have shaken something loose at the key switch or in the wiring.

Throttle seems stuck on a 1995 ford probe as when engine is started it races with no control

This sounds like a major vaccum leak or a stuck IAC(idle air control) motor.Look for a loose/broken vacuum line(a large hose feeds the brake booster and the PCV valve).(my stepson's Sable had a rotten vacuum elbow).

How to fix a 1998 ford mustang 4.8L P0302 code

Since you've replaced everything on that cylinder, the only other possible cause is heavy carbon build up, not allowing the valves to seat properly, or you just have a bad valve sealing condition in general. Best way to find out is a cylinder leak down test. It will show things a regular compression test won't.

96 Ford Probe GT.... What is keeping this from starting?

Hello! I would suggest a back pressure issue is at the root of the fault...The white smoke out of the exhaust is a clue, coupled with all the other data...So lets eliminate the most obvious component; A plugged Positive crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve...Or its tubes...See diagrams below...#1...Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation valve (PCV valve) along with the crankcase ventilation tube from the valve cover...#2...blow through the ventilation tubes to insure there isn't a blockage...And #3...Replace the PCV valve (you can shake it to see if that little ball that lives inside freely moves)...However replacing the valve is the better option...This eliminates the #1 potential cause of the fault...Lets see what we have after this procedure...Guru..Saailer

Hi i have a 1983 dodge ram pickup one day it just died so ive been on a long journey of changing parts ive replaced the fuel pump fuel filter pcv and egr valve all the relays took out the fusable links new...

Check the firewall for a ballast resister. It's a little porcelain thing with either one blade connected wire or two on each side. Held to the firewall with one bolt in the center. Change that, and keep a spare on hand.

How do you replace a fuel filter on a 1995 ford probe 4 cylinder

This Requires you to Remove the 2 WHITE PLASTIC Clips and doesnt matter if they Break the NEW FILTER COMES With NEw ones, Pay attention to how they are installed Hoses pull right off and put clips in before you slide hoses on its simpler than it looks.

1995 Ford Probe sputtering, dying. Won't start now.

This to me sounds like it could be the fuel pump but first I would check the simpler solution and make sure your alternator is good because if your started turns over fine but the car wont start the next part to check would be for me the alternator.
