Question about 1995 Ford Probe
My 1995 4 cylinder 2.0 Ford Probe died on me the other day. So far this is what I've checked. I put in a new PCV Valve. The starter turns over fine. The Fuel Pump kicks on with ignition (I can smell gas in the cylinders when the spark plugs are out and I crank it). I put new spark plugs and spark plug wires in - I'm getting good spark on all 4 when the ignition is cranked. When I try to start the engine, it will sputter a few times, but it just won't start. Any ideas where to look next and how?

to make sure the fuel pump is operating get in a quite place get in vehicle and turn ignition switch on position you should hear alittle buzz for about 2 seconds try this several times if no buzz is heard then the fuel pump is not running. check fuel pump relay in power box by switching relay with one of same type thare should be one of same type in the box if not then purchase one and try it. If the pump is ok then you know you have a firing problem. check to see if you have spark by taking one of the spark plugs out then hook spark plug wire to it lay it on engine and look for spark while someone turns the ignition switch as if trying to start car

Most likely a loss of refrigerant ( freon ) in the system. The A/C compressor uses a low pressure switch as a SAFETY to insure it wont turn on without freon in the system. Hope this helps.

One of the door switches is bad. Try spraying wd4o into all the latches, sometimes this will free up the switches. It might take a couple of days. If it doesn't work you'll have to unhook one at a time to find out which one is bad.

Does it seem to be tempreture related. i had a cutomers vehicle for almost 2 weeks and it started everytime. The thing was it was inside the garage. Finally one day I had pulled it out into the sun and when i went to put it back in, at that point it didn't start. It was a Honda but don't remember the year but it was around a 1995 like yours. It eneded up being the PGMFI relay wich would cause the exact sysmtoms that you are talking about. I have found out since then that this is a common problem. Give that a shot. I hope this helps and good luck.
