remem ber to turn on wipers and turn on ignition dont start the car look under hood listen for winding noise locate noise locate wiper motor
if making wiring noise remove and re conect wiper arms inside as they are prone to poping off if over loaded like when frozen to wind screen they pop the conector rather than burn the motor out ]
If both wipers are not working, then first of all check your fuses, if fuses are good follow wiper motor wires or look in owner's manual to find the wiper relay. Test relay with ohmmeter to see if it is good or just replace it. Double check all wiring. Last possible cause would be the a bad wiper switch which you can also test with an ohmmeter
When U turn the key to the on position (dont start it - but U can't so nvrmnd) and listen to underneath the car about at the drivers door. You should hear a buzzing noise that is the fuel pump operating.
If no noise, check the relay for the fuel pump. Located on the diagram for the fuse box located under the hood of the car.
use the wiper relay (if the wiper work) to test the fuel pump. If the car starts leave the wiper relay installed in teh fuel pump slot and drive to get U a new wiper relay.
If the fuel pump still don't kick on then its either wiring or a bad fuel pump. U can check for voltage at the tank before U buy a new pump. Abt $280 new.
Usually on the back of the cover for the fuse compartment, there is a discription of what each fuse is for,and what location. When you find the one for windshield wipers, it will probably abbreviated, hold cover up to fuse compartment, and compare it to the fuse. There is also a fuse compartment under the hood.If the fuse is good, then either a bad ground, bad motor, or switch.
