Why does the engine revs drop too low and sometimes stalling when I engage any gear?

This can be either an engine management issue (bad idle air control) or a transmission issue if an automatic trans (torque converter lock up problem). Idle air control can often be cleaned so = cheap fix. Trans problem not so easy.

My 2001 honda accord's engine management light is flashing what could be the problem please?

Sounds as if the engine has developed a cylinder misfire. First thing to do is access the engine control module data by using a scan tool to see what code or codes has turn the engine light on. After you retrieve the codes proceed with the diagnosis.

Many possiblities. Have codes read for a clue, but could be EGR, coolant temp sensor, tune up items, bad coil or module.

Chk engn light on. rough idle. very bad exeleration. when in "n" will rev to 3000 rpm then acts like it hits rev limiter.

Hook it up to a scan tool or code reader and pull up codes and trace them down. If you don't have access to reader most parts stores will read codes out for you and be more than happy to sell you parts to repair or steer you in witch direction to go to repair your vehicle.

My 98 v8 sov has knocking when first started increasing revs stops it

It could be if the noise comes back at idle . If not then the problem is else where. It may be a faulty hydraulic valve lifter that is draining down and taking longer to fill with oil at idle. If you have automatic cam adjuster it may be in there (V V I or VETEC type of engine.)

What's causing my Tahoe to rev high in neutral and slam into gear?

Is the check engine light on ? It could be a vac leak or a problem with the idle air control valve.

Hi,I have a Toyota Hilux 04 model,2.5 D4D and its a 2KD engine. The engne light is constantly on & revs are limited & turbo wont open up or kick in if I may say. Please if you can explain to me in...

Take it to a good auto electrician or a Toyota dealer to get it plugged into a diagnostic computer. The engine light is warning you of a bigger engine problem and the limited revs are to stop you doing any more damage. That's why the turbo will not kick in.

Tempreture gauge drops to cold and car stops

Sounds like faulty engine temp sensor. When it drops to cold, the engine control unit picks this up and alters the fuel mixture accordingly. The ECU will be making it a very rich fuel mixture for cold starting, hence very poor running when engine is hot.
