Just check the owners manual and it will give what the dealer will check at certain mileage. Usually just keep doing your oil changes and tune ups along with all the other general maintence.

I have a 1997 chevy tahoe and put a 2005 chevy tahoe motor in and my gas mileage is only 8 to 10 miles per gallon, why?

As these are two different motors with different type control systems involved, did you mean that you installed a replacement motor that was remanufactured or purchased new in 2005?

What does a yoke look like for a 97 chevy tahoe

There is a yoke at both ends of the drive shaft, then if yours is 4 wheel drive there are 4 yokes in the front steering, then 2 more at the transfer case. Here is a picture of the transmission yoke so you get an idea what they look like. mcneb_8.jpg

If compression test is good is either no spark, bad coil or wire, or no fuel, bad fuel injector. Need to clarify which is not functioning properly.
