Coolant disapearing no visible leaks ,oil does not seem to be contaminated

Possibly a head gasket. This usually causes the oil to go a bit milky, but not always. Check for any coolant leaks around the gasket as they are sometimes not immediately visible and coolant may not be dripping onto the ground. A faulty/blown head gasket will also cause the vehicle to blow white smoke, especially on startup.

Cadillac deville pouring transmission fluid

transmission lines to radiator is leaking. The radiator will help cool the transmission fluid in most vehicles, and these lines can get crimped or become loose during normal vehicle maintence. Replace the lines and connectors, and recheck transmission fluid level. MIght just be a loose connection you could possibly tighten up. Busted or cracked radiator?

2000 ford explorer loosing coolant

Unfortunately this will be kind of hard but, it sounds like you may have a blown head gasket depending on where on the passenger car it's leaking? Drive the car get it hot. Leave it running get out and pop the hood. Start looking for leaks. Use a powerful flashlight to help look. If it doesn't leak while you're driving and only after the car is shut off then I'd say you're creating a vacuum in the coolant system, change your coolant cap at that point.

Why is my ac drain tube leaking antifreeze?

I'm not sure what your "ac drain tube" is, but it is possible that the coolant is what drained out the night before. This means that the coolant is hot. Hot coolant expands and will overflow if the radiator is full to begin with. Most cars provide a coolant reservoir to capture this overflow - and to which to add coolant. If your car has this reservoir, you should maintain the level for HOT or COLD (do not fill to the top)depending on whether the engine is cold or hot. If the coolant level in the reservoir is between the HOT and COLD marks, (not up to the top) and you're seeing coolant on the ground, you have a leak somehwere. A heater core that is leaking usually shows up INSIDE the car - on the floor for the front passenger - directly below the dashboard; as this is where it is located.

A puddle under the car should give an idea as to where the leak originates. Arrange to park on top of a sheet of cardboard so that any leak will drip onto it. Check it later in the day or the next morning prior to starting and driving off. If dry, reposition the cardboard under the car again, and start the engine and drive off the cardboard. Park and retrieve the cardboard and inspect for wat spots. In either case, if water is found, you can use the cardboard to approximate the location of the leak. Bear in mind that the leak could drip onto a part - and floow the part to a low point before dripping on the cardboard.

Some of the underhood A/C components will drip condensate if they are running in hot, humid conditions. This is normal. Condensate is simply water and is odorless and colorless. Coolant, on the other hand - is slightly thicker than water and is usually yellow-green or pink in color and has a slightly sweet smell. Coolant has lubricating qualities too, so it will be slippery. You will probably not be able to tell the difference between the two by looking at it is on asphalt; but touching it with fingers and looking for color & smell will.

A little coolant on the ground is nothing to worry about. Make sure that the coolant level is not dropping consistantly, and you should be ok. If it is always requiring that you add coolant, it is the sign of a leak somewhere.

Good luck!

sounds like an electrical problem. Maybe you have a water leak and it's dripping onto PCM, engine computer. I think it is under dash on passenger side. or in right kick panel.

get one at car-part.com if necessary or ebay. stop water leak first. report findings

Water drips onto carpet on passengers side front foot area. Can be seen dripping from plastic air ducting above foot area. how to figure out how its getting in. Have replaced windshield.

You can only have 2 issues dripping water onto the passenger floor board. First being a clogged drip line for the ac evaporator. The other is a leaking heater core. Figuring out which one is the issue is fairly easy.

If your vehicle has anti freeze in it when you turn the defrosters on it will smell sweet. If it does you have a leaking heater core. If it does not then the drip line is clogged.

To clear the drip line get under the vehicle and snake the drip line on the firewall. It usually is a 90 degree rubber or plastic piece on the passenger side about a third of the way up the firewall. A leaking heater core means it has to be replaced and not really a job for someone that is not exsperienced.

Car leaks somethings when first starts--shut engine off and restart no leak Can smell some sort of gas fumes Had radiator checked-it's fine Recently had water pump, fuel pump replaced, tune up and some...

might be a small split or loose circle clip on a pipe, which would leak a little as pressure builds then lowers again. try letting your car run for 10 mins on a level dry piece of ground then look under it for any dripping or puddles or fluids.
