They have become very cleaver in hiding things. Look behind things in the grill area.

The horn has a fuse and it needs to be changed so just go under where the fuses are and change it.the fuse is on the right side 2nd one down and then take it out and change it to 30A. Now there is a fuse box under the hood and also one in side. you need to go to the fuse box that is in side.\

Where is horn and relay for my Dodge status

The relay would be in the under hood relay block, cover should show location, or your owner's manual should tell.
The horn will be mounted on front of car, sometimes behind the plastic bumper, sometimes in front or beside the radiator. Look all around on the front for the horns.

Location of Horn

Horn should be just behind grill...in front of radiator real close to hood latch area.
It may be easier to see from the ground looking up.

the explorer has two horns, they are both mounted under the driver's side headlight behind the front bumper. you will need to remove the splash shield to get to them. Hope this helps you

Horn not working in 1999 ford explorer can't find fuse

Horn is up under drivers fender at the front of the car.
Mine was rusted bad and lost good ground contact. I bought an after market horn combo (high/Low) and relocated up in front of the radiator. If you listen to the relay under the hood it should click when you press the horn on the steering wheel, thats how I figured out it must be the horn and not the switching.

Where is the horn located

Hi,

Inside the front of the left front fender, behind the splash guard inside the wheel well. Reach from under the car to feel the horn. Removing the left front tire and splash guard will make it a lot easier to get to the horn.

Best regards.

Replace the horn on a 1999 ford explorer

Disconnect the battery terminals and have the engine off and cooled down. Locate the horn under the hood on the front of the vehicle. Unplug the wiring harness and then unscrew the bolts for the horn. Replace with similar horn and bolt in. Plug in wiring harness and reconnect the battery terminals.

Try looking behind the grill around the headlights. If you don't see it there look under neath and up just behind the bumper.

Horn on 1998 Explorer

Looking at the front of the vehicle, the horn is on the right side, top, behind the grill. (So if you open the hood, stand near the driver's fender, look to your left, in front of the radiator support, your should see the horns). Can't tell you why they don't work, could be fuses, horn switch, or the horn itself.

first look for one under the dash on the drivers side or maybe on the passanger side and then look for a relay box under the hood usually located in the front or on the drivers side near the front also to find the horn itself look under the hood near the wheel well or the frame and make the wire is not broken off of it and if you live in a place where there is salt on the roads in the winter you may have to replace the horn
