Where would I find the PnP electrical module on a V6 97 Sable apparently these go after replacing a starter

never heard of it and I work for Ford. There is a GEM module in the engine comaprtment (Generic Electronci Module). It is very expensive, but I doubt it's your issue.
Nothing should go after replacing a starter.

There are 3 PNP & 3 NPN diodes in the alternattr. Not serviceable though.

Both turn signals do not work on 87 mercury sable

The fuse block is usually located on the left side under dash or behind a small cover on that side. If the fuses are ok change the signal relay, after that the signal/light switch on the steering column.

I need to change my starter on a 1991 mercury sable

Starter are one of the easier mechanical engine parts to change.

1) DISCONNECT THE BATTERY.
2) Disconnect the electrical cable running to the solenoid on the starter.
3) Remove the two bolts holding the starter in place.
4) Pull the starter out.

To install another starter, do the above steps in reverse order in reverse.
