Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada

Fuel i have replaced my fuel pump twice thiking that was the problem but it must not be, The car will start and will stay running as long as you pour gas on the carborator so it's like the gas isnt getting to the engine. Could it be the fuel filter or maybe the lines are clogged?

The fuel filter sounds like the problem, are you sure its carborated not fuel injucted because fuel injuction has a regulater for the fuel if it is stuck open you would pump gas to the fuel rail and back to the fuel tank

You better find a different mechanic . Before calling a bad fuel pump ,did he do fuel pressure test ? Did he test the electrical circuit ? Did he check mass air flow sensor ,injectors , fuel regulator , engine senors ? How many miles on the vehicle , is the engine in good shape ? Timing chain ?

Fuel pump leak

Looks like it may be a fuel return line from the fuel manifold . It may be split or loose . Probably both . Get a new section of fuel hose and some good clips and replace it

1996 Chevy truck won't start until gas is poured into throttle body then stays running, what is causing it?

Fuel pump relay faulty, when the engine starts the oil pressure switch takes over fuel pump circuit and sends power to the fuel pump

Ive got to start my car twice before it will start

sounds like fuel is running back to tank , there shud b a one way valve in fuel pump, replace pump complete this then shud b ok.
The reason u have to start twice is because as u turn ur key turning ur engine over it pumps fuel up then starts so when u shut engine o,..f fuel shud stay in system but when the valve is warn w fuel leaks back to tank and no fuel 4 starting till u run engine again . hope this helps

IS THERE A FUSE THAT ALLOW GAS TO SPRAY THROUGH

Your vehicle doesn't have a carburetor. What you poured gas into was the throttle body. Does it stay running once it starts? You really should check the fuel pressure to be sure but not everyone has a gauge. Changing the fuel filter would definitely be a good start. If that doesn't do it, check the fuses for the fuel pump and check the fuel pump relay. If they check out make sure the power is actually getting to the fuel pump, check the ground wire of course also. If you have good power and ground at the pump and no fuel you will have to replace the pump most likely.

Truck will start only when gas is put in carburetor

Does it stay running when you get it started pouring the gas into the intake? If so I would replace the fuel filter or check the fuel line pressure where it goes into your intake.

If it doesn't stay running, I would look at replace the fuel pump.

Good Luck
