Question about 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Turn signal light

Hey, I was just looking through forums because my left turn signal light is stuck on. It doesn't flash, its just always lit up, even when I turn off the car. the right signal still works just fine, but the left one is permanently lit up. The only way i can turn it off is to disconnect the battery, which i'm doing every time i park my car, to preserve the battery. Is this the same problem you had? If so, any advice on how to fix it, or what parts/where i can buy them? Is it something I can fix myself? or would i have to take it to a dealer (which i really don't want to do, i'm short on cash)? My car is a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT, if that helps. If you could e-mail me back it would be greatly appreciated. IntegraDriver03@yahoo.com

I have exactly the same problem, but with a 2002 model. Have you received any solutions?

You like myself need a new body control module (new-1100 dollars). Instead of disconnecting your battery, you can pull out the hazard fuse and the light will go off. Your best off buying a used body control module at your local junk yard. Good luck in finding one.

    Best wishes,

    Brian (dude with same problem)

Bad news, it's your interior relay-fuse controler..... 800$ canadian money installation included at your dealer. I had this bug late
April this year.
I saw the tech change mine, it's so stupid to install, maybe you can buy it and install it your self

Sounds like a ground problem to me. Bulbs are not getting there ground to complete the circuit so they backfed through the other bulbs.

Turn signals not working, Toyota Tundra 2000

Hazards work only when lights are off. Left signal light stays lit on the dash and does not blink and is stuck on (lit up) when lights are lit. If I place hazards on while lights are on only right side flashes and whole dash lights flash too... I replaced the flasher relay and it still does not work. Suggestions anyone? Thanks!

2000 taurus left turn signal flashes rapidly and the left rear turn signal lamp does not work. Does ford have burned out bulb sense circuit that would give this indication? The right side flashes normally.

Yes - the fast flashing is a warning that a bulb is burned out. Change the bulb (be careful to put it in the same as the old one as it probably is 2 bulbs in one , parking and turn/stop) and you should be fine.

Driver side signals only work when headlights are OFF

What may have happened is either the headlights wiring or the parking lights wiring somewhere along the wiring fused to the left turn signals wiring. Depending on if the turn signals go on when you put the parking lights on or the headlights on.

If the signals come on when you turn on the headlights than you only need to locate the light green wire that comes off the left turn signal harness.

Next follow that wire the entire way back to the firewall looking for another wire fused to that wire as you go.

If there are no signs of this you need to continue looking on the other side of the firewall all the way back to the turn signal and hazard flasher unit which is a black box that connects to a black harness located next to a grey harness behind the knee bolster.

But if the signals come on when you turn on the parking lights than you will also need to check the wiring from the rear left signal and follow that light green wire all the way back to the turn signal and hazard flasher unit.

This should fix your problem, but if not than your problem may lay within the the wiring between the turn signal/hazard switches and the turn signal and hazard flasher unit.

Also you may have a burnt circuit in the junction block. This block is where the light green from the rear left signal and front left signal meet. Don't have a description but if you cannot find it let me know and I will go out to the yard and look myself and let you know.
