Question about 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
When i turn on the air weather it be cold or hot, it is stuck coming out of the defrost/ front windshield vents. I guess if it was to to be stuck anywhere, the defrost position is the best one because during the cold months it is necessary for it to operate through the defrost if i want to see out of the windshield, however durring the summer months it is a "sweat box" because i cannot turn the cold air to come out of the dash vents. i was stuck before and i got it to move once and than back and it has been stuck since. Please help because otherwise i'll be forced to drive my wife's honda anywhere the family goes together because she will not ride in the truck untill i can fix it and cool it off.
You have a vacuum leak! Check the vacuum ball for cracks or missing hoses.
