I would take the lense cover off the back and the turn signal cover in the front and get a 12 volt tester to see if there is power remove the bulb and test the socket itself and there is no power stick the tester into the wire to see if you have power if you have power at the wire and not in the socket then you have a bad socket also check to see if one of the bulbs is blown

2001 rav 4 wiring diagram

This is a typica grounding error. You should try to add a good ground cable to your tail light. Sound strange but this often solves such issue:)

I have a 2002 pontiac aztek. My rear right signal/brake lamp does not work. When i signal left, the front and rear left lights flash normally. When i signal right, the front right light flashes normally...

as for the faster flashing thats as simple as a blown bulb, replace the bulb and see if that fixes the problem, it may fix the lot because the other symptoms you mention are a bad connection, if bulb is fine check the connection isnt loose or corroded over. if it is simply file it back to establish better connectivity,

Jaguar xj6 break light cancels signal

Replace the turn signal switch. Bad contact inside causing a crossing of the circuits. When the turn signal is applied it should open the brake light circuit allowing for just the signal to work. Doesn't sound like the switch is doing it's job.

Chev Cavalier 2003 only one rear turn/brake/hazard light

I have a 2002 Chev Cavalier that had the same exact problem. I replaced the bulb harness (purchased from a chevy dealership for around $5) which was fairly easy to do. I have had zero problems with it since.
