I'm with this client. The 2 screws are obvious but something near the top left of the left tail light is not allowing removal of the cover plastic.

  • Turn off the ignition.
  • Pop the rear hatch and lift it up to gain access to the retaining screws. These screws will be on the inside of the hatch area behind the tail light
  • Remove the two screws that hold the light to the inside wall of the hatch area with a Phillips head screwdriver.
  • Apply pressure and pull straight back on the two retaining tabs that hold the tail light lens cover in place. Remove the lens cover.
  • Unscrew the light assembly. Remove the old light bulb by turning it to the left.
  • Replace the bulb assembly into the socket area. Replace the lens cover by snapping it back into its tabs.
  • Insert then tighten the two retaining screws then close the hatch.

How to Fix the Tail Light on a Ford Focus?

1)tail light located behind the panel in the trunk. 2)remove the two screws holding the panel in place. 3)The tail light assembly is hold/caught by two plastic pins and the spring assembly. 4)Pull driver's side tail light outward slowly and gently twist it until it slips off the plastic pegs. 5) In the same way pull the left side tail light also. 6) Tail light connected wires should not be pulled out.only the tail light should be removed. 7) simply push the bulb in slightly and twist it to your left and the bulb will pop out. 8)after the bulb is the same way insert the new bulb in the socket. 9) Reconnect all the parts removed in the procedure. This will help.thanks.

How to replace brake light bulb audi a4 1.8t 2002

Start by opening the trunk lid. On the sides of the trunk, just beside where the trunk lid sits when closed there is a circle cap on either side. Remove the cap it is the same material as the trunk side trim (fuzzy carpet) then there will be a screw set into the hole that you just uncovered. You can use either a philips screw driver or an 8mm socket and remove the screw/bolt. you may need to reach in with a set of needle nose pliers to remove the screw after it is loosened all the way. Once the screw is removed grab the tail lamp assembly from the inside and twist the tail lamp out of the holding pins located on the side edge of the tail lamp. The whole light will come off of the body in your hands. Once the tail lamp assembly is out there is an access panel on the back side where all the bulbs are installed. Depress the two holding tabs on the sides and carefully remove the bulb holder. Then replace any blown bulbs and reinstall.

Bulb burnt out and i cannot see how the bulbs come out do i have to remove lense or does the bulb come out the back some how this is on a 2000 dodge dakota

If its the headlight you'll need to get to the back of the light housing which you should be able to get by removing a few screws which hold the headlight the the frame, and then unscrew the light in its fixture to get to the bulb do not touch the glass or you will damage it (the new one that is)

If its the tail light there should be a couple screws that you can see when you lower the tailgate that hold the tail light lens to the frame, once you take those out you can pull the lense forward and there will be a few more screws holding the light rail to the lens, one they are removed you can pull the rail away from the lens and you can them remove the old bulb and replace it

I need to change the brake and tail light on my 1996 toyota corolla . I would need a manuel on that please.

The steps to replace the brake light bulb on a 1996 Toyota Corolla:

The bulb needed is type 1157. After opening the trunk you need to remove the trunk liner on the side (right side for this example)where the brake light bulb is out. The plastic capture grommets hold the liner in place. Once the grommets are removed there is a nut (10mm) that is a bright brass-like color. This needs to be removed. Then on the outside of the trunk on the tail-light lens left side there are two nuts black in color (10mm) they need to be removed. Now the fun starts .... you needto slide the whole assembly back. You will note two black plastic posts on the rear quarter-panel, do not remove these ... these are used to hold the tail-light assembly in place since on the inside of the tail light assembly there are two rod-like protrusions that slide into these brackets. So.... remove the screws and wiggle the assembly back and it "should" slide back so that you can get at the bulb socket hat you twist to remove from the assembly. Now the bulb is visible and you reverse the order of steps to get it all back together .... a miserable design!

How do i replace the tail light bulb?

to replace the GM tail light bulb, you will drop down the tail gate and you will notice 2 screws on the tail light assembly, you will remove those 2 screws with the proper screw driver, once you do that the whole tail light assembly will come off, then you will see onother 2 screws holding the light panel to the tail light assembly, or brackets holding the light panel to the tail light assembly remove either or and you will have access to the three bulbs on that light panel, replace the burnt one and follow the same intrunctions to put back.

Cannot get the tail light lense off to change ram 2500

Drop tailgate and look for screws holding light assembly. If all screws are removed you may have sealant holding the assembly. Gently pry it out of is seat. Behind the assembly are the sockets that require a 1/4 turn to remove. Then change bulbs as required. Let me know if this helps. Moe
