94 gms safari van heater blower not working

I tried everything from the fuse box to the wires and still nothing what is happening

So I have a 93 GMC 2500 van heater that just quit blowing. It ran on High but not on Low for the past few months.. then it worked sometimes.. now it doesn't blow at all. Thoughts?
I thought it may just be the switches.. the fuses all look good.. I'm not too mechanically inclined but I can be if the fix cost is too high.

Did the heater blower just quit or did it cycle on and off for a while or did it not work on every setting (it worked on low but not on high). Have you removed the fan from its cannister?

I had the same problem in my 1994 safari. I thought it mite have been the resistor form other peoples comments. I removed it and tested it. The resistor was fine. The heater fan relay was bad, but I was able to repair it myself. If you remove it and inspect it there should be two contacts that need to make a good connection in order for it to work properly. When the fan is on high there is a little electro magnet that pulls the contact up and engages the fan motor to full speed. When it is not on high the lower part of the contact rests on the lower half of the relay flap. if there is not a clean connection at this location you are not sending signal to the resistor which controls the other three fan speed settings. Inspect this connection and if possible clean the contacts with emery cloth and make sure that the contacts are making a good connection. This should do the trick to make the lower speeds work if the resistor is still good. If this is too much brain damage try replacing the relay first and see what happens, if you are still getting the same result then the resistor or the fan switch is bad.

Good Luck!

Got a1996 gmc safari when i turn on the heater the fuse blows... its a 20 amp

The resistor is not the likely candidate for a fuse problem. There is either a short in the electrical wiring to the blower motor, or the blower motor itself is faulty, causing the fuse to blow. Disconnect the blower motor from the circuit and try turning it on. If the fuse doesn't blow, it's probably the motor.

I have a 94 jeep cherokee sport.i keep losing brake lights, blower for heater, turn signals, windshield wipers, and dash lights i took it to several ase certified mechanics who could not figure it out so i...

Click on the link, check fuse f13--20 amp. Not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a test lite, hot all the time.
You have to test when problem is ongoing. The fuse is for brake lamps.
At the moment, I don't know if trouble shooting one system will fix the rest? With multiple issues, I pick one system and trouble shoot.

Why have i lost all electrical power to my 1974 dodge tradesman van

With the battery connected, did you check the fuseable link which is the pigtail wire on the positive cable ?
If nothing works, it has to be a bad cable, bad connection, or one of the major fuseable links from the battery to the fuse box.

Ac compressor has no power going to it in a 2001 safari van trouble shoot

If the system is low on freon, the low pressure switch will cut the power to the compressor.
Could also be a fuse or other component.

96 monte Carlo has good batt. but will not crank, no clicking, no noises at all

Probably going to be your ignition. Its the litytle box under your steering column with all the wires running to it. Check the fuses 1st to rule out the REAL easy fix but I'd put my $ on the ignition. Hope I could help. Good luck

How to change a heater blower on 1997 gmc safari mini van. I have I have never changed a heater blower on a gmc mini van were do i start?

If your talking about the blower motor, its under the hood. If you buy a delco part there will be instructions in the box. There is a plastic/rubber cover over the motor that needs to be cut with a very sharp knife. Anyway buy the delco part and you'll be able to figure it out from there. Good luck.

this is a common problem, replace the blower motor resistor, its located near the blower motor bolted to heater box, it slides into the box ,remove connector, then bolts holding it to box then slide out of box,
