1995 Chevy Suburban Rear window defrost

The rear window elements do not remove the frost . The indicator lights up when pressed on the dash , but nothing happens at the window . I have the double "barn" doors and checked the connections at the doors . Which fuse and which fuse block should I look for ?

As I remember there are wires going to each window, if just one place on the glass has been scratched through the copper lines they will not work, also there is a relay, I could not tell you the exact location, but I think if the light comes on to tell you they are working then the relay is ok, also check fuses. I have had this problem many times in the past. If the copper lines have been broken they can be fixed, also the clips that hold the wires to the defroster check them and the actual connections. I hope this helps you. God Bless and Merry Christmas!

Fuses, honestly only two places, owners manual should show you location of the exact fuse

i would imagine the fuse for it would be inside the car under the dash on drivers side. but also if you look at the rear window you should see the rear defrost wires soldered to the window sometimes one will break off and it might just need to be resoldered

My rear window defroster only partially works with only a few elements working and the inside of the rear window frosts up. Why is that and how can I fix the defroster?

The element is imprinted onto the glass and some of your conductors must be cracked. The only repair is a window replacement. You might be able to get hold of a good second hand one, but have it checked out first. Measure the total resistance of a window you know is good and compare it to any used one you intend tp buy.
