Question about 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Truck
My 2004 dodge 3500, 325h.p. H.O. cummins manual 6spd. cuts out while driving at any speed. May happen once in 50-100miles. Cuts out from one complete dead miss to a 3-4 seconds. Dealer said it was lift pump at a cost of $785.00 but I installed a F.A.S.S. (fuel air separation system) electric high flow fuel pump at $650.00. Problem still there! Anybody got a clue?
I had the same problem........ It would cut out real bad, then some times it would not.......
I had lots of people tell me lots of things, and I did them, nothing worked, then I thought it may b sucking air, so I tightened up the fuel filter lid,(the top of the fuel filter housing), and it all but stopped cutting out, now it will cut out very seldom, hardly never and when it does it is just for a split second.

Hi. I had the same problem on my 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins. I went to the dealer and they did a bunch of diagnostics and they replaced my fuel pump. At the same time they put in a retrofit kit that moved the fuel pump to the inside of the gas tank. I have not had the problem since. The cost was about $1,200, but my 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty covered it and I had to pay the $100 deductible.
