Question about 1998 Ford Expedition
When i tirn on the engine and let sit for awhile it start to steam up.then, the smell comes up from the vent.i tried taking it back to the dealer and it's not that.all they say is that something is dead inside or under thetruck.last, they want to flush the lines to if they can solve the problem.
Hello! This sounds to me like your Heater Matrix is leaking! (inside the vehicle) the smell is probably steaming ani freeze mixed with the damp caused by the leak hence NO warmth from heater. The dealer posibly is fobbing you off as can be a very difficult job.
Even though the leak is happening have you tried a Radiator Seal something like Rad-Weld or Barrs Seal?
Remember to bleed the system to get the air out of the Matrix.
Good Luck and Merry Christmas.
