The problem is probably the blower motor resistor. I'm not sure where yours is located exactly. They can be on the firewall under the hood or some are near the blower motor under the dash.

Evaporator coils freezing up

no year, stated, nor model car. no engine size or country.

blown fuse.

there are lots of honda back to 1973, just a clue here.

if the heater blower stalled it can burn up.

what info, easy, the FSM , no FSM work blind

or use alldata.com , login and read, it .

smell from where, under hood or dash, gee?

the new resistor will stick until burned in, they smell like hot metal

and are. it just nichrome wire resistor and run very hot.

and are air cooled so the resistor dont burn up.

so a shop would make sure the motor (fan) is good first.

and make sure current is not over 15amps. motors can in fact

partially short and draw too much current not just go dead.

then the resistor, not first.

"but got hot" what got hot,. the cab air exiting the vents, the motor fan

or the what?

a dead fan, motor, check the motor, apply 12vdc to fan like the FSM shows and test the motor, if it spins fast,. check current.

ones that suck too much current run a little too slow. so.......

No heat just cold air

Is the gauge showing the engine is warming up to normal temp ?
Are the heater hoses getting hot ?
If the heater core is getting hot, it could be a blend door problem. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the ac evaporator among other things.

2003 envoy heater blower does mot work on any speed

The switch on the dash could be defective or look for a module near the heater fan on the fire wall side of the engine dept. Trace the wire attached to the fan motor back to help find the module, check it with your nose to see if it smells burned. You will not mistaken the smell of burned electrical components.

Fan motor problem

usually its the heater resistor that causes that. find it and check it out, this controls all fan speeds. its under the passengers side glove box, take off wiring then remove 2 screws and then it will drop out.

Heater in 2001 kia spectra stoped working

The burning smell is most likely an issue with the blower motor. These small motors have a hard life and the windings can lose the insulation and short out, hence the burning smell. Another problem can arise if the air intake has filled with leaves and other matter which can be ignited by the fan speed resistor creating the smoke. As this matter rots down, it creates chemicals which can erode the insulation on the motor and cause burning and the eventual failure of the motor. The fan speed resistor is a bank of wirewound or solid state resistors wired across the fan motor which give the individual fan speeds. If these fail then you would lose the fan as well. Search out the fan housing as the resistor is usually fitted into this housing to keep it cool. NEVER turn the fan on if this resistor is out of the housing as it WILL get hot and It can cause a nasty burn..the resistor can have upto 7 wires plugged into it but as to it's exact location, that you will have to find on your own..

Heater fan only works on high speed

usually when the blower motor gets old its starts to draw more current to run. which can pop fuses, burn out resistors and melt wires. also when you go to replace the resistor check the connector for signs of melting or burning you may end up having to replace that conector
