Heated seats not working on 2002 dodge ram

Up until today heated seats worked well but have quit, and on both seats which leaves me to believe that it is as fuse or something. Can't find a wiring diagram for this. Any suggestions.

    Are familiar with the one wiring diagram - found it but nothing that directly relates to the heated seats. Still looking for answers . . .

    Fuses are good and there was no pre-indicator such as flashing lites as described in the owners manual.

    Both seats are out not just the seat or the back.

Both seats run on the same fuse. They are powered through the same body wire harness circuit. It is most likely underneath the dashboard on the drivers side, or under the hood in an enclosed box.
===========
A very common cause for heated seats not working is that the heater element has burned out on either the cushion heater element or the seat back element. The way the system is wired, if one goes bad, neither will work.

    the heated seats run throught a control module, the fuse will almost always check ok, the reasons for this module no allowing the seats to work is in most cases a shorted seat heater element.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, to my understanding, there is a built-in self check for the heated seat system. Any fault would be indicated by the LED indicator either pulsating or steady or a combination to indicate probable faulty area. Pls check the LED indicator light(s) and post back blinking, steady and which are lit.

Alternately, you may want to check the fuse box. Not only would the heated seat have its own fuse, there would be a relay to do the actual switching of the heated seats.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

    The built-in self check, the LED indicators and the entire heated seat system are all controlled by a single brain/computer. Might this be the one that is faulty?
